About the Course

This course develops an understanding of the techniques and practicalities of the information systems development process. Through practical examples the student will be made aware of the various phases in the systems development life cycle, ie. determining the user requirements, developing a systems proposal, designing the system and implementing the system. Note: Access to the Internet is highly desirable as Internet use is an integral part of the teaching strategy. Students who are unable to arrange Internet access must contact the program coordinator before the commencement of Week 2.
